The Vanquish F was the first reel that Shimano produced that showcased its brand new CI4+ rotor. This rotor is a huge improvement on the already remarkable CI4 rotor and the CI4+ in the Vanquish F is almost 6g lighter than a rotor of a similar size constructed out of CI4. Originally developed by the Shimano cycling division, CI4+ is incredibly lightweight, rigid, and durable material. This means that the component in the reel that is often considered one of the weakest elements of the reel – the rotor – is actually one of the strongest elements in the reel. This ensures performance perfection over a significantly extended lifespan.
Every element of this reel has been built to perfection, and internally the reel showcases much more technology than simply CI4+. Fitted with X Ship gearing, you are able to achieve incredible cranking power with this reel and you are able to tackle some of the largest and most aggressive fighting fish with full confidence. The AR-c spool ensures your distance casting isn’t compromised and enables you to use cast with a braided line with as much confidence as you would with a mono. The body of this reel is constructed from ultra-light magnesium. This material is saltwater approved, making this the perfect reel for all your spinning sea fishing and the Vanquish F is already a firm favourite with the bass hunters that line the UK shores.
