Shimano Biomaster XS-B Reel,
The Biomaster XS-B offers excellent casting performance thanks to the Cold Forged AR-C spool, Aerowrap II and 2 speed oscillation for excellent line lay. The 8000 size offers a good compromise between mid-sized and large "Big Pit" reels, yet still has a large line capacity (0.40mm-320m) making it suitable for large waters throughout Europe. The combination of a powerful 4.6:1 retrieve ratio, plus 3 shielded ball bearings and a roller bearing, create a strong smooth performance suitable for large predators, carp and catfish. The traditional front drag spool offers micro adjustment and is easy to locate and change whilst playing fish.
Finished in a metallic silver the new Biomaster XS-B also offers automatic bail closure instead of the former manual version. The Biomaster XS-B is not only a great freshwater reel, it also makes an excellent surf casting reel for medium and long range fishing.
Super stopper II: With the reel set in anti-reverse mode you'll find zero free-play on the handle. Unerringly positive every time, its practical benefits include micro increment settings of quiver tips or specialist bite indicators and faster hook setting
Hypergear: This precision-engineered main gear transmits more power from the handle to the rotor. Designed to exacting tolerances, it requires less effort but returns more retrieve/playing torque with vastly reduced component wear. In fact, all reels offer a breathtaking 90.3% efficiency, which makes them not only feel great, but in years to come they'll still be quietly purring
Easy Maintenance: An easy and efficient way to keep your reel working at optimum performance. This feature enables direct lubrication of the reel's inner workings - without having to take it apart. A small oil lubrication port can be found on each of the S-system reels which, when removed, enables you to apply manufacturer approved lubricants to the inside mechanism
Aero Wrap II: By improving the internal friction efficiency Shimano succeeded in bringing its line lay systems close to perfection. Close parallel coils in combination with 2 speed oscillation ensure smoother and further casting
Floating Shaft II: The key friction area on most fixed spool reels is where the spool drive shaft meets the pinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact, and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a "floating" position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity
Dyna-Balance: Reduces reel wobble and allows produces ultra-smooth performance
AR-C Spool: A spool design with a V-shape spool lip ensuring that the line comes off the reel in smaller loops for further and more accurate casting. The AR-C spool will minimise the risk of backlash
Varispeed: Good quality line lay. Shimanos revolutionary Varispeed System consists of two specially designed gears. One is oval and the other a remarkable square shape
Instant Drag: The Instant Drag system allows you to adjust the clutch from free spool to fight in only a few turns. In the interests of fish safety & the environment, please ensure that you do not exceed the breaking strain of the mono/braid when tightening the drag
2 SPEED OSCILLATION: An advanced way of laying line onto the spool during the retrieve. As the rotor turns, the spool moves forward quickly and then returns slowly. This prevents the coils of line on the spool from bedding in with each other and improves casting performance

Return of goods & Refunds
Any incorrect or damaged goods must be reported within 5 days of receipt. These will be replaced as soon as possible at no expense to yourself. All unwanted items must be either returned at your own expense or taken into your local Angling Direct store.
