MAP’s range of P-Series reels have been designed to provide versatile float and feeder fishing work for anglers across the coarse fishing and carp fishing disciplines. Built to sit beautifully on the Parabolix STi rods in MAP’s flagship range, the ACS P4000 FD is fitted with a number of features that put it head and shoulders above the competition and ensure it performs superbly at all-round float work as well as on mid-sized venues for feeder and bomb work.
One of the main features that this reel boasts is the patented ACS line clip system, from which the reel gets its name. The ACS is one of the biggest developments in line clip technology that the industry has seen since line clips were first invented. Operating on a sprung system, this clever device ensures that you can fish on the button without worrying that you are going to cause any damage to your line – even when you are fishing with an extremely thin monofilament line or even a braided mainline. This is because as soon as a fish takes and begins to run with your terminal tackle the line clip automatically disengages and releases the line, allowing it to run freely. This means you no longer have to waste time struggling to free your line from the clip when you get a take and instead you can spend more time playing your fish with confidence.
This isn’t the only benefit the MAP ACS P4000 FD offers. Constructed from a composite body, this reel is lightweight to ensure that you’re able to hold it comfortably on your rod for extended periods of time. Fitted with both an anti-twist line roller and a powerful front drag, this reel can cope with even the hardest fighting fish. This reel comes supplied with a spare spool as standard, as well as both a single and a double handle, so you can customise it to suit your fishing style.
