Harrison Trebuchet Spod Fishing Rod
The Trebuchet is the biggest distance casting rod that Harrison has ever made and it was designed to allow you to target areas that you previously through were impossible. The only problem with such a powerful casting rod was that it was very hard to get your freebie baits out to your feature – catapults and throwing sticks simply don’t cut the mustard in terms of either distance or accuracy when you’re hitting your terminal tackle out as far as you can with the Trebuchet. This is why Harrison has developed with Trebuchet Spod rod. Not only does it match the Trebuchet in terms of cosmetics but it also in terms of casting ability, too.
The Harrison Trebuchet Spod is 13ft in length, ensuring that it can reach just as far as the original Trebuchet without having to be rigid. It offers a 4lb test curve, too. This means that you can load it up with packed spod with ease, allowing you to quickly and accurately deliver a huge amount of freebies to your key features. In fact, in testing this rod has managed to launch fully loaded spods in excess of 220 yards when using an overhead cast. This ensures that you’re never going to fall short of your marker and you’ll always be able to deliver bait to the key areas of your chosen swim.
This rod benefits from all of Harrison’s extensive rod development knowledge and it features a 1K carbon fibre weave all the way along the length of the rod, from butt to tip. This gives the rod the kind of backbone it needs to command those weighty spods with confidence. Kigan 3D guides ensure that you’re never going to experience line cutting and the rings are in a 50mm configuration to allow your spod to fly. The whole setup is finished with a Fuji DPS reel seat, which is ideal for housing your big pit spod reel.
