At 12ft it comes in at the ideal carp rodlength and it offers a 3lb 6oz test curve that is ideal for use with casting weights of 3.5oz to 4oz. The Aviator Plus Carp Rod is a semi-fast action rod that has been manufactured using Harrison’s famous thin carbon ply construction. The rod is finished with a 1K carbon weave throughout. Not only does this look stunning but it also gives the rod exceptional strength.
The rod boast a thin diameter tip that allows you to built an impressive amount of power in the area above the joint. The butt section is incredibly powerful, too, whilst still retaining an exceptionally slim diameter. This allows you to have the confidence to push that little bit harder in a strong wind to get your terminal tackleout to the precise area that you need to make a killing. The rod didn’t earn the name Aviator for no reason: in the right hands a 3.5oz lead will fly with incredible accuracy over distances exceeding 100 – or even 150 – yards.
It isn’t just the rod blank that is high performance, however, and the rod is furnished with the best fittings possible. Kigan 3D ringing begins with a butt ring of 50mm and ends with a tip of 16mm. This ensures that you won’t experience any nasty linetangles and it makes retrieving through heavy duty snags less of a chore, too. The reel seat is a classic black hooded Fuji DPS – ensuring that your reelis held in the perfect position.
