Guru Speed Wire Floats,
The Speed is a pattern designed for catching large numbers of fish, a stable pattern that sets and settles very quickly, enabling a bite to be seen as soon as the bait settles, perfect for use with a bulked-down style positive rig. The fast-setting nature of this float comes from the fact that it is a body-down design, with the body tapered in a teardrop shape with the bottom of the body rounder for stability and the top part of the body tapering up smoothly to the bristle.
This shape also means the float is perfect for lowering down into the water when using baits like bloodworm or bread punch and strikes incredibly cleanly from the water. The fibreglass tips are highly sensitive, but unlike on many silverfish style floats, we have introduced a slightly thicker tip so they are clearly visible, especially on the smaller sizes that are likely to be used in tough light conditions on small canals and drains.
Variations of wire and carbon stems in all sizes mean anglers have options of super stable floats in wire for tricky conditions, and carbon versions for quicker fishing to reduce tangles.
Sizes Available (wire stem and carbon stem): 0.2g, 0.4g, 0.6g, 0.8g, 1g
Guru Natural Pole Float Range Explained:
This particular range of floats has been in development for a long time, were pretty sure youve seen various samples used by our consultants and in films for a good while now! However, weve been constantly tweaking and adding to the range during the design and production phase for us to produce a comprehensive collection of floats that are tailored to a diverse range of natural venue work across rivers, canals and stillwaters. Finally, they have arrived!
The range comprises of eight different patterns that covers many shapes and sizes, all having specific uses in different situations. Youve undoubtedly noticed that the floats have been tried and tested thoroughly by our team of international anglers, with the likes of Matt Godfrey, James Dent, Steve Ringer, Frankie Gianoncelli and Andy Bennett all contributing towards their production. Huge amounts of attention and lots of alterations have been made to the lengths and diameters of stems and bristles, so each size is unique and perfect for the situation in hand.
The key feature that sets this range of floats aside from anything we or others have ever produced before is the Elastilex Paint Finish, giving the floats ultimate strength, durability and longevity. This finish means the high-quality balsa bodies of the float are protected by a super thin and incredibly durable elastic coating that wraps the body, preventing any damage to the body from wear, impact or line-cutting into it, further reducing the chances of the floats taking on water. The paint finish is dark in colour, which our key anglers felt was important with these floats been used on clear, natural venues, the dark body blending onto the water enabling ultimate focus on the Hi-Viz bristles.
