The Drennan Vertex Medium Feeder Rod 11ft is part of the new Drennan Vertex Rod range which has replaced the acclaimed Drennan Series 7 rods, and uses the very latest materials and manufacturing techniques to create a range of fishing rods which is perfect for all coarse fishing situations.
This Drennan Vertex 11ft Feeder rod comprises a high modulus carbon rod blank with a nice through action which makes the rod great for playing fish and avoiding hook pulls at the landing net. This feeder fishing rod has been designed with enough power to land all sizes of fish from F1’s to large hard fighting carp but still allow you to accurately cast a range of feeders and method feeders up to 45gs to distances in excess of 40m with ease. So whether you are fishing large open lakes where you need to cast at distance to smaller lakes where you need to cast up to an island, this Drennan feeder fishing rod will have you covered!
As with all Drennan rods, only the finest materials have been used with full SIC guides being used throughout the rod. A secure DPS reel seat has been used which allows the rod to be ranged with a range of fishing reels. Drennan have used a high grade cork rod handle with an EVA casting grip which gives both an excellent casting and fish playing action. Two quivertips are supplied with this fishing rod which have been selected by the team at Drennan to cover a wide range of feeder fishing situations, with a 1.5oz glass tip perfect for shy biting species such as roach and skimmers whereas the 2.5oz carbon tip is perfect for commercial carp feeder fishing with method feeders and pellet feeders. This Drennan Vertex feeder fishing rod is finished off with the new stylish Vertex branding and a hook keeper ring which is perfect for keeping your rig safe when not in use.

Drennan Vertex Medium Feeder Rod 11ft,
Classic Medium feeder rods which are ideal for stillwater Bream and skimmers as well as river work for Chub and Bream.
Both have the required mellow actions which help play fish softly and so avoiding hook pulls. At the same time these have enough backbone to put the brakes on a chub diving for cover and even small commercial Carp.
Accurate casting at ranges of approximately 40m (11ft) and 50m( 12ft) with feeders up to about 45g is comfortable. Reel lines are in the range 4lb (1.8kg) to 6lb (2.7kg) although the 11ft could be matched with as low as 3lb (1.4kg). Some may even match these with braided reel lines to help with shy biting fish.
Both 11ft and 12ft rods come with push-in Feedertips of 1 1/2oz glass and 2 1/2oz carbon with differing test curve tips easily bought to extend further their versatility. Using a slightly stiffer 3oz Feedertip will still closely follow the blank and should pose no problems although if you need to use even stiffer/stronger Feedertips then the Carp Feeder versions might be an even better choice as they have the same action but a little more power.
Just like other Vertex Feeder rods being two piece these can also be stored and transported made-up in a ready rod sleeve or hardcase.
