The Jigger Float is a recent invention in the match fishing world which has been taking commercial venues apart, as it allows you to constantly vary the depth you are fishing at, whilst maintaining a tight line, as the line runs freely through the centre of the pole float. So there is no need to strike at any small indications as most bites will pull the pole elastic straight out of the pole tip!
These pole rigs feature the brand new Drennan Crystal Jigger Floats which feature perfectly moulded crystal clear bodies which are virtually invisible to shallow feeding fish and indestructible compared to balsa and foam pole float bodies. Drennan have designed these pole floats to be semi-loaded so they will sit up immediately once entering the water, meaning you are fishing straight away and can take additional weight of between 2 to 4 no.8 shot depending on the size of your hook bait. These pole rigs have been hand tied and feature a straight hook which is perfect for presenting baits such as maggots and casters shallow. Drennan have ensured that the length of each rig is ideal for fishing shallow and has been tied using durable 7lb 0.20mm rig line with a 4lb 0.15mm hook length and size 16 barbless hooks. To fish with this jigger float all you need to do is stretch the rig before use to straighten the line, then lift and lower the pole tip to control the speed of bait drop. To set the depth on your pole rigs, these rigs feature a pair of super stops which sit on your fishing line and can be moved up and down the line to where the fish are feeding on your session or to match the natural fall rate of loose feed.
