Dave Harrell Straight Peacock Waggler,
This is the float to use when you need more buoyancy in the tip of the float and it can be used on rivers or stillwaters. Always use sufficient locking shot around the float to comfortably cast to the distance you require. Down the line, use a No8 or No6 shot for every two feet of water plus a No8 on the hooklength.
Our silicone rubber waggler adaptors allow for float sizes to be changed quickly and easily.
Dave Harrell Straight Peacock Waggler Float
The Dave Harrell Straight Peacock Waggler Float is the perfect fishing float for when you need more buoyancy in the tip of the float. Ideal for use with larger lines or when fishing overdepth for bigger fish such as chub, barbel, bream and carp on both rivers and stillwaters.
The tip of these waggler floats features a bright tip that makes these floats extremely visible, as it allows light to shine through it and can be seen easily even when dotted down to a pimple. The tips of these waggler floats are buoyant enough to let you drag a bait overdepth on a river without having to worry about the float being dragged under by the weight of the hook bait. These waggler floats are best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom. Dave Harrell recommends using a simple shotting pattern, with the majority of the shot is used to set the float to the level of the insert with just a few no.8 or no.10 shot equally spaced down the line and the bottom shot no more than 8-10 inches from the hook. Dave Harrell has used a straight peacock body down from the tip of these waggler floats to ensure the float casts accurately and offers minimal resistance on the bite. Available in sizes from 2AAA to 5AAA, the Dave Harrell Straight Peacock Waggler Float is a must have addition to any anglers coarse fishing tackle.
