Description

Dave Harrell No.5 Bolo Float

The Dave Harrell No.5 Bolo Float is a float pattern that is perfect for river swims from 5ft to 12ft when the flow is slight or where there are a lot of fish present and you are getting bites quickly. Similar in design to a large pole float, the shape of these bolo floats makes them easy to control on flowing water. Ideal for fishing with a variety of baits including maggots, casters and hemp.

The tip of these bolo floats is extremely visible, even in low light conditions or when fishing at distance, so you are able to dot these river floats to a pimple and still be able to see them at the end of your swim. The hollow tip on these bolo floats is also incredibly buoyant, so it allows you to fish over depth without submerging the float, great for catching bigger fish. Dave Harrell has used a strong carbon stem on these fishing floats for maximum strength and also to prevent any tables when fishing deeper swims with longer lengths of line. The body construction of these floats also makes them incredibly strong and durable. Dave Harrell recommends using these bolo floats with a bulk in the form of an in line olivette around 18inchs to 2ft from the hook with a single drop shot of either a no.8 or no.6, positioned about 10 inches from the hook. This bolo float is also great for use when fishing with long whips, a style of fishing that has become very popular on a variety of venues in recent times. Available in sizes from 1g to 6g, the Dave Harrell No.5 Bolo Float is a must have addition to any anglers coarse fishing tackle.
