The tip of these waggler floats features a fluted insert that makes these floats extremely visible, as it gives the illusion of a thick tip at distance and can be seen easily even when dotted down to a pimple, but is actually very sensitive with very little resistance to a fish. This insert also helps to increase accuracy and distance as it acts like a dart flight on the cast.These waggler floats are best used with very little shot down the line and fished with the depth set off the bottom. Dave Harrell recommends using a simple shotting pattern as the float is loaded and only requires a few no.8 or no.10 shot equally spaced down the line and the bottom shot no more than 8-10 inches from the hook. Dave Harrell has used a straight body down from the tip of these waggler floats to further ensure the float casts accurately and offers minimal resistance on the bite.
