The DaiwaEmcast Surf Reel is a reel that bucks the trend in order to give anglers what they need, and this reel has been designed for fixed spool sea fishing.
With a graphite body and rotor, and an aluminium spool and handle, this reel is exceptionally lightweight. Designed for fishing through the surf, the Emcast Surf boasts a number of top quality Daiwa technologies that make it ideal for casting out to those hard to reach fish. AirBail is Daiwa’s protrusion free bail arm design. The hollow tubular stainless steel bail arm is rigid whilst also being almost completely weightless and it allows the line to slide onto the line roller without snagging. This is perfect for surf casting anglers who are looking to cast long distances, as these kinds of casts can often lead to loose line at the bail arm. To enable you to fish with confidence at these kinds of distances a bail arm that ensures snag-free casting is essential.
The line roller itself has been fitted with Daiwa’s TwistBuster system. TwistBuster is an innovative ideal that works against line twist, as well as limiting the friction between the line and the roller to a minimum. Twist on the line can not only cause huge problems when fishing, but it can also significantly shorten the lifespan of your line. Twisting is very common, especially when you’re fishing with a braided mainline, so eliminating this twist offers you the chance to experience amazing improvement on the beach.
