One of the most important lessons that all anglers have to learn is the power of versatility. Many of us can often find ourselves getting into a rut with our angling, always relying on the same rods, reels, and terminal tacklesetups in order to get takes. However successful these setups are, we’ve all spent ample time on the bank scratching our heads wondering why we’re on our third blank session in a row when our favourite tactics were working so well a mere month ago! This is the moment that differentiates the successful angler from the ‘hit and miss’ angler – a distinction that becomes ever more apparent in competitive match fishingscenarios. Sometimes switching up your tactics can be as drastic as changing from a rod setup to a pole, sometimes it can be as simple as introducing a new bait flavour, and other times it can be as subtle as changing your quiver tips.
Daiwa’s Carbon Big Guide Quiver Tips allow for ample bankside versatility. With enlarged guides (as the name suggests) these quiver tips ensure that larger knots don’t impede the flow of your line whilst at the same time ensuring you can experience all the sensitivity you require. These quiver tips are exceptionally responsive, allowing you to capitalise on each take. The lighter 1.5oz option is ideal for tackling smaller species where maximum bite registration is imperative and the heavier 2oz tip is perfect for use on flowing waters where you don’t want the current to interfere with your bite registration. The two tips have colour indicators to distinguish them. The smaller tip is fitted with a yellow band and the larger with a red.
One of the biggest benefits of the Daiwa Carbon Big Guide Quiver Tips is their universality. Designed to fit on all current Daiwa feeder rods (excluding the Daiwa Carp Feeder and the Team Daiwa Feeder, but including the Airity range) these quiver tips can be swapped and changed as your rod choice changes.
