Total Angling Becomes Part of Angling Direct

We are delighted to share some news with you today – Shropshire’s largest tackle shop, Total Angling in Shrewsbury is now part of Angling Direct and will become our newest store, Angling Direct Shrewsbury! 

This is a substantial milestone, and we are thrilled to gain the knowledge, expertise and experience of the current Total Angling team. It’s a fantastic tackle shop, with a great customer base which we’re looking forward to meeting.

Going forward, the entire Total Angling team is staying on, to continue to deliver the great service that this store is well renowned for! Whilst we will be combining our websites and changing over the social media pages.

To minimise disruption, the store will remain open going forward throughout August and you will start to see the addition of some our well renowned customer benefits such as MyAD membership and our Price Checker promise, to further improve the customer experience in store! 

However, this is only the start, as there are several exciting plans for the store in the near future, that ourselves and the team at Total Angling cannot wait to roll out, including a full refurbishment of the store and big open day with representation from all the biggest brands scheduled for early September only the start of the journey we have planned for our latest Angling Direct store, so watch this space!

Today is a huge day for the Total Angling team! We’re exciting to share with you, that as of today we’re becoming part of Angling Direct!

For customers and the team, nothing has changed but is a substantial milestone that secures the future of Total Angling. We are thrilled and confident this move will be hugely beneficial to you and our team, as it enables us to continue to provide a local tackle shop run by anglers for anglers and deliver the ever-increasing range, better prices, depth of product and choices, demanded in today’s rapidly changing retail world.

Going forward, we will be combining our teams, websites and changing our social media pages. In doing this we can continue to deliver you the best possible service and price, including MyAD membership, and the Angling Direct Price Checker promise. We’re stocking items we could never stock before, price matching making us even more competitive than ever before, and our store is undergoing a monumental refurbishment which will make it one of the best out there.

As you are already a valued customer, we are thrilled to bring you this exciting news and look forward to welcoming all customers old and new back into store. For those customers that have loyalty points and gift cards, don’t worry we have records, and all will be honoured. In the short term, the store is open as usual, with our big open day and full refurbishment set for early September, but as of today our communication to you, will be as Angling Direct plc.

Our new store will be open every day of the week, to ensure that when you need some tackle or bait to go fishing, you are able to get it from Angling Direct Shrewsbury! 

Just like you, we want to know Angling Direct has the best prices around. So we monitor all our key competitors and will match their prices if we find they are lower. We do the work to ensure we are never beaten on price, so you don’t have to!

We understand how important bait is to the angler, so we make sure to look after our live bait in store like it is our own, to ensure you have one less thing to worry about on the bank!
