The Daiwa Super Spod 45 SCW Reel is a direct replacement for the original EMBLEM Spod reel from Daiwa, incorporating some very important upgrades.

Testing showed how much of an advantage the 45mm spool made to distance compared to the spool size and shape of the 35mm ABS version. Combined with Slow Cross Wrap it can add 10-15m to your cast. Daiwa have increased the Ball Bearings to 6, enhancing smoothness. It features QD (M) and 2 HIP line clips. Changing the body and rotor material saw the reel 70gr lighter at 620g; making constant casting and retrieving less demanding on the angler. Line retrieval at 118cm per handle turn makes light work of feeding at range.
