On pressured carp venues, there can be no better way of preparing your bait then soaking your boilies 24 hours before your session in a bucket of water. Doing this will do two things, firstly it will make the bait go super soft and easily digestible for the carp and secondly it will make the boilies go really pale in colour, making it look like they’ve been on the lake bed for a long time.
So you’re kind of getting ahead of the game before you even get there, and I would also recommend using one of these as a hook bait if the lake bed allows it.
