Here at Angling Direct we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new Reel Maintenance Service now available in all of our stores! Your fishing reel is one of the most vital pieces of kit in your armory - so keeping it in tip top condition is essential.

First, each reel is completely disassembled, and every component is individually cleaned using an environmentally friendly, non-solvent, water-based degreaser. Next, we apply specialist greases and lubricants designed specifically for fishing reels, reducing friction and enhancing durability for a smooth, consistent operation. Our expert technicians then conduct a thorough inspection of each part, identifying any wear or damage. If necessary, they will perform repairs or replacements to ensure your reel is in optimal working condition (we will inform you if there are any additional costs). With a swift turnaround time of typically 5-7 working days it won't be long before your reel is back in action, performing at its very best.

- Spool drag washers cleaned and re-greased
- Clickers, handle knobs & line rollers cleaned and tested
How Does Angling Direct Reel Servicing Work?
Getting your reels serviced through Angling Direct is super simple. Just drop off your reels at any Angling Direct store, and we’ll send them away to one of our expert technicians for professional servicing. Once the process is complete we will send them back to store and you can collect your reel fully serviced and ready for action!
