Now this fishing hack is for everyone who uses coated hooklinks whether it be for carp fishing or specialist fishing. As you find that coated hooklinks can get quite untidy, very kinked and to get them straight you need to steam them with a kettle.
However, what do you do when you don’t have a kettle or stove with you, or can’t be bother to fire up your kettle each time you tie a new hooklink? What you can do is hold it in your mouth and grab one end and use your fingers to create some heat into the hooklink and you’ll find that your hooklink will not sit nice and straight offering the best possible presentation for your hook bait.
