Coleman gas cartridges contain a 70/30 mixture of Butane and Propane for improved low temperature performance. The Coleman 100 gas cartridge has a threaded self-sealing valve so it can be safely removed from the camping stove until it is needed again.
Coleman gas cartridges come in three sizes: the 100, 250 and 500 sizes. The roughly number relate to the weight of gas in the cartridge. The Coleman 500 gas cartridge is the largest capacity version and sits at the top above the between the smallest Coleman 100 gas cartridge and the intermediate Coleman 250 gas cartridge.
Its larger size makes it perfect for use with the Coleman F1 Lite stove on extended trips. Its ideal for a week away where you where you might take two of the smaller Coleman 250 gas cartridges.
