AD Quickbite - How To Tie A Simple Maggot Feeder Rig

The humble feeder is an important weapon in your fishing armoury, it can be used to catch a variety of fish in a diverse number of conditions. In this AD Quickbite we show you how to set up a simple maggot feeder rig. The maggot feeder rig allows you to feed an area over time throughout the session, which in turn attracts more fish into the baited area.

Items required

Step 1

Thread your feeder link on the mainline.

Step 2

Thread a float stop onto your mainline, then tie a figure of eight loop leaving a long tag.

Step 3

Twist the two lines to create a twisted boom, secure with an overhand knot.

Step 4

Slide the float stop down to the knot above the twisted boom.

Step 5

Attach your hook length swivel to the small loop in the twisted boom as shown.

Step 6

Attach your hook length to the hook length swivel as shown. 

Step 7

Finally, attach your feeder to the feeder link.....you are now ready to fish.
