AD Quickbite - How To Tie a 2 Hook Flapper Rig

This QuickBite video instructs you how to tie the 2 Hook Flapper Rig, one of the great sea fishing rigs. It is a solid all-rounder, so if you fancy a multi-species session, or you're just happy to catch anything that swims, the 2 Hook Flapper Rig will get the job done.

Here's the step by step guide to tying a 2 hook flapper rig.

Step 1

You will need the following components.

Step 2

Start by cutting off 1.5m of leader material.

Step 3

Tie your link clip to the bottom of the rig body.

Step 4

Thread on your beads, crimps and snood swivels as shown.

Step 5

Attach your mainline swivel to the top of the leader.

Step 6

Crimp your bottom snood swivel 15cm above your link clip, next crimp the top snood swivel 70cm above the bottom snood swivels.

Step 7

Tie you two snoods. The bottom snood should be 60cm, the top snood 50cm. Attach to the relevant swivels.

Step 8

Attach your chosen weight to the link clip, and you're ready to bait up and fish...
