A Combi rig offers anglers the best of both worlds; a stiff invisible fluorocarbon boom section paired with a supple section just below the hook, adding hooking. Although Combi Rigs are fantastic rigs, they are hard to make, and once the hook is blunt you must make another rig, but not now with the Loops and Booms you can simply just change the supple section in seconds!! In this AD Quickbite, we show you how to make your own so you will never be fishing without a sharp hook again!
Items required
Step 1
Trim off 25cm of boom and crimp a small loop in one end.
Step 2
Thread on your anti-tangle sleeve and krimp another loop.
Step 3
Trim off 25cm of supple braid and tie a small loop for the hair.
Step 4
Thread on your hook, then determine the length of your hair. Then pass the braid back through the eye of the hook to form a doubled up section.
Step 5
Now tie a knotless knot on the doubled up section.
Step 6
The braided hook section can be attached to the boom section via a loop to loop connection.
