Featuring not one but two breaking systems, the Mag Pro allows you to have full control over the set up of your reel – this really is a tool for the reel fanatics out there. The six pin centrifugal braking system allows you to set standardised breaking on your reel – the number of break blocks you use in your system up to you and you can modify the reel based on your casting style and the conditions of the water. The fewer blocks you use, the longer the reel will spin – ideal for the extreme distance caster. The magnetic breaking system, from which the Mag Pro gets its name, controls and eliminates any spool overrun at the beginning of your cast and is ideal for those anglers fishing at night. With a simple adjustment this system plays in the distance casters favour, allowing you to punch leads out as far as you can time after time without the fear of overrun.
The 6500 C3 Ct Mag Pro also features Abu Garcia’s expert carbon matrix drag. The toughest drag system in the world, carbon matrix drag gives a more consistent drag pressure than any other on the market. This system makes it the ideal reel for tackling those large saltwater fish.
