This is the first 13ft spod and marker application rod that Greyshas produced and it has been designed with anglers who already use 13ft rods for the majority of their carp fishing. This ensures that it has the kind of backbone needed to cast large marker floats and heavy loaded spod rockets extreme distances. After all, if you’re regularly casting 200 yards (or further) for your carp then you need a spod and marker rod that is able to match those kinds of distances; it’s no use putting baitin an area that is twenty or more yards short of your feature!
The rod boasts the kind of progressive action that you’ll have come to demand from a top end Greys rod. This allows you to build a huge amount of power in the butt section whilst still benefiting from the kind of springy sensitivity that you want from the tip section. The blank benefits from six, 12, 18, and 24 depth markers, ensuring that you can have complete accuracy when you’re marking up your swim. These markers also aid you with your casting precision when you’re baiting with huge spods. The Greys GT X.S.M is furnished with the same high quality line guides and reel seat as the rest of the carp rodsthat Greys produce. G-Lite ultralite guides maintain the low weight of the rod whilst the anti-frap tip ensures that you can cast weighty objects without fear. The Fuji NPS 20 reel seat is fitted with a locking collar to ensure that your reel is held in perfect alignment. The GT X.S.M has a raw carbon anti-scratch sanded finish, which perfectly matches the other carp rods in Greys arsenal.
